Saturday working till 0830pm. I dont need to stay overnite for Saturdays and Sundays as a new colleague would take over all weekend duties. So good. For dinner, my colleague cook pork rib soup and stir fired pork in light sauce. I prepared onion egg and kai lan in oyster sauce. The soup real nice. The soup was brewed in a rice cooker for 3hrs before serving. He mention from where he come from, soup was the most important dish. The soup is served in every meal. This is something that make me look forward for the next weekend duty.

Today morning, went to a golf driving range in Bishan. My friend ask me to go and see if I'm interested to learn Golf. Hmmm... It was quite interesting. The instructor offered as a 10 hours lesson for just $240. Actually I think it's quite interested to try out. But to play the game i have to buy the equipments and to book the field something like that. I have to pay $200+ for booking the field which allows a maximum of 4 golfers. Hmmm... Unlike my friends who work in business and office area, I just a lab technician working on a isolated island. They can benefit more from the course as they can play with their father, client and bosses. Hmmm... At noon went to my friend house at Senja Link. His son 1 month old. Thursday. Off day. Had a afternoon nap till I overshot my kickboxing lesson. Haha. At night I drove my parents to a coffee shop Sembawang near my CG area and had dinner. The Ba Chou Mee ($2.50). No good.

Today I got a guitar lesson. First lesson. . I brought my old guitar with a broken string to work. Then at LRT, some young people slowly walk in the LRT. The door was close on me. I blocked it with my right arm. The door opened and I managed to get in. Then the door went bersek. Students in uniform keep turning their head and look at me as if I killed their parents. Hmmm... At last LRT personal ordered everyone to get off the train. I'm late. Sms my boss and went to eat breakfast. At Marine South Pier, I order the Tea(good). Nice. At 10 I took the commercial ferry($11) to the st John. Haiz. Cannot claim for the ferry. At noon had soccer and my colleagues suggested tonite to stay back for fishing. I couldn't join them and also I had to work overnite tomorrow. After work went to a cafe in Republic Plaza for the lesson. The cafe was rather well furnished but it's quite empty. Ordered a cup Hazelnut Steam Milk($5.2). I dont like it. Now then I know why there not much people. At night went to Golden Shoe Carpark to eat the Nasi Biryani ($3.50) plus the Ginger Tea(good). Biryani so so. Hmmm... Whenever I go fishing I would remember the poster on the wall at my workplace.

Monday was just a normal working day. Until at night, my friend called me out for supper. I was abit reluctant. Not confident to drive alone. I had to summon my bro to tag along with me. Went to pick my friend up at his house and went straight to Bukit Batok Central. My van died 4 times on the road tonight. Sometimes I feel sorry for it when I was driving. The carpark there was for lorries. Had no problem parking there. We had oyster omelette. I dunno the price cause my friend paid for it and i forgot to pay him back. LOL. It was nice. But the most delicious I ever eaten is the one at Bedok 85 market. It's legendary. Whenever I thought of oyster omelette I think of that stall.

Morning went Ghim Sheng CC play basketball. Long time since we had gather for basketball. At noon, went to Tiong Bahru market eat Duck Mee($3). Okay. Then after that went Tiong Bahru shopping centre and later to friend house. Borrowed some PS2 CD. Straight after went back home. My dad demanded me to drive the family to Tao Payoh to treat them for dinner. Hmmm... Quite far. Never been on the expressway. I was thinking could become a ticket to heaven for the my family if something bad should happened. Hmmm... Not long after I leave home, I drove across the junction despite the red light. I dunno if I was caught in the camera anot. All was smooth one the road except the occasional wiper which appears when I doing my turning and overtaking. Not used to the signals on the left handside.Things turn bad when I was trying to park. It's very different to park a van than a car. Everyone was giving me instructions to park in 3 different languages (Teochew, Chinese and English). They keep shouting like "turn somemore", "look in mirror" and "somemore somemore" +++. But I really dunno what I'm doing and what to look out for. Somehow manage to get the van parked properly.

Today went to make my temp car license. After that went and visit my granny. Evening I waited for my mum to return home so that I could drive her van. Muhaha... It was raining. My bro accompany me. The van was so different from normal car. The clutch was alot higher than car. The worse thing I hate was that the signals was on the left instead of the usual right hand side. Hmmm... I was turning on and off the wiper throughout the journey to Clementi MRT and turning without signalling. Nice experince. At night, went to the coffee shop opposite Bras Basah complex. I ordered Bah Ku Teh($4.5). Okay. The BBQ chicken wings order from the BBQ sting ray stall was real lousy.

No Fear

Today went for conference from morning 9 to 12. In the conference most are old man and women. Felt so alienated. Meet a poly classmate during there. Hmmm... Seen some familiar face met during the orientation. After that went to Amoy street and ate the vegetarian Bee Hoon($2). Normal. At noon, someone ask me what I "fear" the most. Hmmm... Spider? Cockroach? Water? Nah... Nothing. Until at night, I thought of it again. I realised I had this fear of losing my job. I like my job - the people, the environment, the working hours and the workload. I was chosen for the job not because of my capabilities but my avalibility. Hmmm... At night, I asked my brother of how to overcome fears. He taught me the 3 C's. Confront the fear. By admitting and not running away. If I don't confront I'll never be able to overcome any fear. Conquer the fear. By know that there is a god. What fear is greater than the being that create this world? Channelling. It means to set a strategy and following it.

Today Off Day. Went to Clement to collect my photo. Looked at the photo. My nose. The right side is larger than the left. Hmmm... At home, I took a look at the mirror. It's something I never realised throughout these 23 years. I know my ears one high one low, my back bone is bent to the left and right side of my body is slightly larger than my left. Hmmm... Just a normal body would be nice. Need not to be perfect. Had my dinner at Sembawang shopping centre Kopitiam. The Lee Kwang Kee chicken rice was good ($3.50). Strangely this store sells Otah. I thought it was weird to have otah with chicken rice. But then I think her Otah must be really nice that's why she's selling them. I'll try it next time. Around 2330hrs I was at Chua Chu Kang LRT. Police were surrounding a man in pink sitting on the floor. At the scene, the perimeter was fence up by the police white and blue tape. Could the man in pink was dead? Went to work overnite yesterday. I had to cover my colleague's duty. I accidently left my lunch and dinner on the boat. My lunch and dinner gone. Work overnite till this evening.
Today got a arrow to go HQ to attend a conference on this coming Friday. Hmmm... From 9am to 12noon and after that no work. Good or bad I dunno. I somehow prefer Soccer during lunch. My colleagues were discussing to go on a fishing trip at the Indonesian seas. Hmmm... They talked about how rough the sea will be and how big the catch will be. All the cost will be $300 only. Hmmm... Quite expensive. They say it's worth it as the price of fish caught would certainly exceed $300 easily. They mention about eating a kind of sting ray which the flesh is blue in color and other kind of rare fish during their last trip. Working overnite yesterday. Left my watch in the bathroom and later went to the kitchen to cook our dinner with my colleague. After dinner I went back to find my watch. It's gone. Bad day.

Today straight after I reached Singapore went home and rest. Later went to Clementi interchange with my cousin to take photo for our driving license. There I bought a new watch ($94). Later went to try the Botak Jones's "Botak Burger" ($7). The queue was long and there was a customer spending 5 mins asking about the menu and couldn't decide what to eat. He was a 40 year old man who can speak fluent English and had to take so long to choose what he wants. The staff attend to him was very polite, answering all his questions, spoke politely, smiling and paid full attention to him. It was my turn. I quickly ordered the burger and he informed me I had to wait 30 mins. Hmmm... Very long. Then I went to the Aquarium shops around there to walk walk see see. The spicy fries was quite nice. The burger's beef patty was huge but I didn't like the taste. I felt that the service was good and most like come again to try the other menu. After that went Bukit Panjang Plaza. Friday 13th

Took leave today. 0430am I woke up and couldn't sleep. 0730 am went for driving. 1st time I went in circuit with my instructor Raymond. He was shocked. I went in 2months ago with my old instructor, he spent most of the time scolding me. Raymond was pretty worried for me. Especially my S course was super horrible. I just learn today. It was 0900, I said good bye to him and went to the exam room. There I met my cousin. She was having TP today. Going for her 5th attempt. Hmmm... 5 attempts. We both were very inconfident and had a bad morning. I told her today pass anot nevermind as today is just an new experience for me. My test route was route 3. Quite hard. Got a slope, a short U turn near Phoenix. It means that I have to do lane changing before and after U turn. I may fail easily. The invigilator didnt even look at me and talk before,during and after the test. The circuit during TP is a very nice experience. It like I'm driving a bomb truck. Everywhere I go people would stop and let my car go. Everything went smooth. Zero points deducted. Just outside the BBDC, I do a left turn and my left hand accidentally hit the wiper. Hmmm... I never touch that thing before. While driving, I tried closing it by turning up and down. But I failed. Hmmm... Disturbed by the wiper, the invigilator closed it. I drove to Keat Hong LRT. Just before the petrol station there, he said "turn right". I glance signal right and look at the side mirror. The cars were far away from me. Perfect situation to change lane after the traffic light. Everything screwed up when the traffic light turned red. I had to stop. About 7 cars were on my right. The traffic turn green I signal right and watched the right mirror carefully.I couldn't cut in as the first 5 cars do not want to give way to me. Lucky the 6th was a lorry. I quickly cut in as the 5th car drove pass me. I saw him scribbling. Hmmm... I think I did quite that well. Later at a junction, I had to turn right. 2 bird flew down. ... I didn't know why they want to do that for. I slow down. He spoke "why slow down? Please speed up". He began scribbling. Topid birds. After that he ask me immediately go back BBDC. Hmmm... I haven't do my U turn yet. I dropped him down and went meet up with my cousin. She was very happy that she finally pass. Then we went to watch the safety video together. After that we were told to queue up to make a temporarily 3 weeks license. Sux man. Had to wait for 1 hr. We went off to shopping and meet up with Big Aunt for lunch Bukit Batok Blk 640. They recommended Ba Chou Mee and chicken rice. I ordered chicken rice($2.50). The rice was lousy and the chicken was okay. But the portion of chicken serve is quite worth it for the price. Sleeping Early Tonite

Yesterday working overnite till today evening. Went for kick boxing. After that went to a coffee shop at Bukit Merah View. I had wanton mee ($2). Good. My friends they order Teo Chew Porridge ($15+, 7 dish - mince pork, Gong Bao Ji Ding, mussle, curry vegetable, fish cake, Bean Curd and Salted vegetable) After I finished my mee, I ordered a porridge and joined them. Hmmm... The dishes were nice and I like the fish cake the most. Have to chop chop go home cause tomorrow is my Traffic Police. A day that may change my life. Gotta watch bleach 121. Bankai.

Wok on fire.

Today off day. Mum left some buns in the wok. I went to heat it up. Hot steamed buns would be nice for breakfast. My friend was discussing to go Sentosa today. Chat and chat. Then there was a burning smell. The whole wok was on fire. This photo was taken 1 minute after the incidence. Poor buns. I had to rush for my driving. My house was cover with smoke. I hope no one call the Civil Denfense. I do not wish to see my home to be broken in. Have to fast and pray. For driving, I practise on lanes chaging. Still no good. 3 days to Practical Exam. Gym Outing

Today working. After work went to a big gym near sommerset MRT. Have you been there? Everyone been there knows that their "Fitness Professional" and "Fitness Consultant" are really annoying. I been there once about six months ago.

Went you enter, the Fitness Professional will ask you to take seat then fill in a form which ask question like: "how many week can you come, which body part do you want to improve in how many weeks +++". All those very professional questions. 15mins gone. After that, he will ask you fill up the another personal particular form. After there will be a orientation to the gym and later a Fitness Analysis Test. Hmmm... This was part of the reason I come. After the test, the Fitness Consultant will come and let you look a file. Inside the file there is an old leaflet inside stating price of monthly memebership $120+, registration fee $300+ and a dunno what fee $400+. Very frightening. The consultant will say you very lucky to have this coupon which enable me to have special discount. After that he ask you to how much you're willing to spent a month for this gym. First I say $30, then he say this gym facilites real good then I have to say $50, $70 and later $90. Then later he find someone and say that he is the boss and offer me: the Corporate Plan ($79/mth + upfront $20 registeration fee). The boss went off. The consultant say I damn lucky tonite left 2 slots of the Corporate plan. Hmmm... From $700+ to $99. Tempting right? Then he say must put a deposit for the Corporate plan or else the offer might be taken up by others. Hmmm... I come to meet my friend for gym session and now all this admin took up 1hr of my time.

Later I told my friend about the Corporate plan, my friend said he was offer $59/mth without registration fee. ... Double standard? Corruption? I say unprofessional. Tempted of signing up but who knows that there maybe another Super Saver Plan which could be $30/mth. Haiz... How to trust them? My friend complained the people called several times a day, 100% everyday without fail. 100% is tested and proven. I been there once and I experinced it before. Even my mum dont call me that often. After that went to pork rib rice + barley $5.50 at the S11 buliding between centerpoint and cuppage. Cannot comment as I cant taste really well. Got to visit the doctor restore my taste. Tasteless Life is Boring

Yesterday was a short day. I slept till 1 pm and woke up for lunch and ate 2 panadols. Slept at 5pm and woke up at 7.30pm for dinner. After that went to my friend's granny funeral nearby.

For today morning driving, I did lots of vigorous lanes changing and parallel parking. Very worrying. Today is my 3rd last lesson before the test. At noon remembered I bought a Big Sweep ticket last during CYN. My number 3272393. I saw a number 3272381. Arghhh... Almost got a Consolation Prizes @ S$2,000. If only the last 2 digit was 81 not 93. Just too bad. Hmmm... Maybe you thinking that I'm a gambling addict. Well, it's just $6 a month. The possibility to get a prize is real low (I estimate about 1.33/30000). But if I dont buy and do nothing, I never stand any chance to win at all. At least I buy, there's a chance even though it's very small. In this way, I'm also contributing to Singapore Pools for their annual donation for NPD fireworks display. Hmmm... Whatever. Starve the Fever, Feed the Cold

Today off day. Woke up in the morning feeling feverish and sore throat. Went for driving. Cant concentrate. After that went granny house. Bought a pizza bread for Break talk($1.30). Hmmm... Maybe the bread was cold so it was tasteless. Later went to HQ gym and do some light training. Real hungry. Went for my kick boxing at 1830hrs. Feel much better. Went to Orchard Emerald BK eat Double Cheese Burger meal ($4.90). Hmmm... Should have order Whopper instead. Went opposite Shaw Tower to have dessert. Ordered some Mango+grapefruit+grass jelly dessert ($4.50). Everyone complained the mango was very sour and was amazed that Ifinished it. . I could feel my tongue slighty hurt due the "sourness" or the mango but I couldn't taste anything. Then only I realise I lost my sense of taste. So sad. I finally understand why people say when sick better stay at home. Because no point going out when I cant taste anything. Waste all the $(1.30+4.50+4.90= 10.70). Went to watch the reaping. The screen seems very shaking. I dunno was it my head is spinning or the camera man trembling. The storyplot was okay but then I hate the soundeffect (Loud screaming, shouting and banging). I supposed the sound was added to make it a scary movie but it annoyed very much. Hmmm... Whenever I have fever I would fast for a day and do some training to sweat it out. Idiot and Stupid Technician

Yesterday working overnite. Forgot what happened or what I done. Hmmm...

Today, my boss didnt come in the morning. So happy. Hmmm... Did what I have to do. Had our usual lunch break. Straight after that I put on my lab coat. And I slept. zzzZZZ. Haha. I intend to sleep till 3.50pm to do something at 4pm. But was I woke up by my boss. My god. Then I followed him. He ask me where are the others colleagues. They were working and he ask me to help them. Hmmm... His face damn black. You might think that I'm a slacker or a bastard, while others working I can still sleep. Actually I'm handling dieased fish. If I go around helping others, I may cross contaminate and cause more harm than good. When I reach my colleague place, my boss somehow remember I'm handing the sick fish today and ask me to go away. We left the place. While walking, he say commented that he can understand if I sleep at 6pm while working overnite. He say he couldn't accept it when I sleep during working hours. Hmmm... True, but I thought he not coming and that's why I sleep mah... Heh heh. Just too bad I was caught. He reach the 3rd colleague place, he was abit angry and told him that he caught a Idiot technician sleeping just now. He saw my colleague didnt wash something and commented that "only stupid technician will not wash that...". Lol. My colleague he never sleep and was working so hard and yet he was award the "stupid technician" title. Hmmm... I was thinking. Is there a need for such words like stupid or idiot? What was his intention for using such words? I only know such words can be very insulting and may cause resentment or anger. Maybe he thought by using such words can make people feel bad for what they done or remember the mistake they made. Wrong. I think people most likely to remember the harsh remark and will badmouth him. Hmmm... Whatever. I'm not bothered with him but my colleague is quite disturbed by his remarks. \Haha. Office Politics

Today working. In morning I got an extra chicken drumstick from the Aunty selling mixed rice at Golden Shoes Carpark. She told me from today onwards she selling $2 for rice plus any 4 dishes. Hmmm... Maybe she's facing competitions. My boss not here today. Heh heh... After the afternoon soccer, we gather for our usual lunch break. Heard about colleague A talking about an Oldbird's bad working attitude. Hmmm... Office politics. This Oldbird work in another department and has always been friendly and kind to me. Hmmm... For me when people talk about these kind of politics, I'll sit and listen. When everyone talks bad about him and I'm keeping quiet, sometimes someone in this group will look at me. The person looking at me is normally who started this conversation. Hmmm... Probably he may think that I'm on the oldbird side and maybe wants me to give a negative comment on him. Well normally, when people look at me like that I'll say "Oh... Is it? He like that one huh? I didnt know man. Hmmm...". Act blur live longer. Haha. But 3 things I'll learn. Firstly, listen to what the talk is about and remember it. Sometimes what the speaker say maybe true and take extra precaution of both the speaker and the person. Secondly, think why the person started this talk and for what purpose. Is he angry with that person or is he worried about you associate with that person and become like him. Lastly see how they interact with each other. Hmmm... Some people can backstab each other at work and talk normally outside. Hmmm... The Worst April Fool Joke

Yesterday afternoon driving learn right turn, lane changing and vertical parking. Dinner at Capitol Centre in a Thai restuarant call Magic Wok. We ordered chicken omelete, sweet sour tofu, tomyam soup, stir fried mix veggie and fried fish($66.8). The fish was most probably grouper. I think the soup was nice and the rest was ok.

Today morning went driving. At Jelapang LRT buy 3 curry puffs and I took it up to the train to eat. One 40+ year old lady looked at me shaking the head and look at the no eating sign on the wall. Hmmm... I'm just hungry and was rushing for time. I know after I finish eating I will not throw the plastic bag on the floor. I really dunno what to say. Other than it is a law that eating in train is an offence, am I wrong to eat? If I litter on the train, then I think I am wrong. Sometimes I think we shouldn't ban from eating in train but to ban littering instead. On the other hand if speeding on the road is an offence, shouldn't we ban driving too? Hmmm... This reminds me of the old Singaporean new Singaporean theory.
